MM on manners maketh man.......

I was brought up to believe that 'manners maketh man'. It seems that manners need to brought up to date, its not just about holding doors and ‘please and thank you’s. On Sunday evening I went to see the Arab Strap farewell tour – very good it was too. For those of you who don’t know Arab Strap their music can be moody and atmospheric, which is why some songs were ruined by people chatting about a mate who can’t decide whether he should be an Arsenal or Pompey fan. As far as I’m concerned that is socially unacceptable behaviour and just plain rude. So here are my top three suggestions for 21st century manners which people should adhere to

1.Don’t speak at a concert especially if it’s of an atmospheric or hushed ambience.
2.Please have your ticket ready when reaching the ticket machine at the tube, don’t rummage in your bag for it at the last minute (especially those regulars at Balham station)
3.Dropping litter, especially in sight of a bin, is unforgivable.

Rant over. Any suggestions on other forms of etiquette or manners which need to be brought in to the 21st century are very welcome in a comment…. Those of you who have logged in for photos or footage of fluffy animals contain yourself. Muxloe has other musings to get off his chest first, but keep checking as you'll be amply rewarded soon especially if I deign to reveal photos of dogs from India and Sri Lanka!

Some may argue (and indeed have) that taking photos of intimate dogs is bad manners!
But seriously folks...MM knows he has an (how do you write 'allie/ally? - as in those joined to America in The War Against Terror) in me for manners.

Don't walk in late at the cinema, especially if you have been seen chatting in the bar earlier.

Is it really necessary to have that massive mobile catch-up on the bus/train?

Driving can be a stressful thing, but if an oncoming driver gives you the chance to pass a parked car, acknowledge them. They'll be more inclined to do it again.

....TBC

bus stops that are only 200m metres apart piss me off.

people who wait patiently infront of you in the queue to use the ticket machine at the train station for 5mins while some spazz who seems to think they are playing a playstation for the time its taken them to select their overpriced ticket option and thus make everyone miss their train only for the person in front of you to reach the machine and then start to look for their purse/ wallet piss me off too.

....and men who wear their jeans tucked into a pair of cowboy boots quite frankly should be shot.
